Mission Statement

Syrus Consultancy aims to lower offending and re-offending rates nationally by encouraging re-engagement into employment, training or education through the delivery of creative youth services.

Our Vision

Chris Syrus

Director

Founder and Director Christopher is an author, spoken word artist and motivational speaker, who has achieved a Diploma in Psychology (Open University), PTTLS teaching, Advice & Guidance Level 3 and Life Coaching Level 7 qualifications.

Christopher's self published poetry book 'LoveLife6958 Memoirs from the pen...' is used to deter young people from offending and re-offending. The name LoveLife6958 is transformation of the prison number LL6958. Representing the journey of turning a negative into a positive. Skii Vision

Manager of 'G-Lane Inc.' creating short film on youth based topics. Focus on how to prevent and tackle issues. Producing music for 7 years, well rounded in the creative industry as a songwriter, photographer, director, actor, graphic designer and music artist.

Skii is part of the team that manages our photo-shoots, graphic design and music videos.

Jahovi - Producer

Jahovi reggae artist and music producer. Facilitates production workshops and records artist vocals. Singing for 9 years, self taught producer using Logic Pro 9 for 5 years.

Emma Malyszczuk

Drama Facilitator

Emma Malyszczuk is an all rounder. Actress, Rapper, Writer and Director. She has just written and directed her own 4 part drama "FastLife". With a National BTEC diploma in performing arts she has gained a lot of acting experience in film and theatre, taking lead roles in a number of online projects and theatre productions.

Emma is also one half of female rap/sing duo "Mango and Lashes" who are working on their debut, a fun-fueled mixtape. Coming to set the pace in 201

David Wehinm

Producer and Facilitator

Founder of independent music company Wehinm Creative, David Wehinm is an Instrumentalist and a Music Producer, an Artist Manager and a Development Consultant and the Music Director of the Dave Martin Movement. For over 10 years, David has been active in the UK music industry, in various capacities. Developing as a creator and performer, David has worked with numerous gospel artists such as Caleb and the Kingdom Klan, Sonnie Badu and NCR.

Having graduated with a degree in Accounting and Music and Media Management, David became increasingly more active in the business side of the music industry, specialising in licensing and synchronisation with PRS for Music.

David has lived abroad in Brasil, studying the language, the culture and the music of Bahia. He also spent time teaching English to locals and providing help with basic amenities in impoverished areas, an experience which provided a fresh perspective on life.

Naomi Elliott

Music Director and Facilitator

Naomi has extensive experience in the arts as a producer, singer, vocal coach and musical director. Naomi has been singing professionally for 7 years and has a real passion and love for music being brought up with a musical family and her Gospel background. Naomi taught herself to play keyboards, drums and bass guitar and has worked with the likes of Dappy, Kelly Le Roc, Don E, Omar and top gospel musicians such as Fred Hammond and Micah Stampley.

After overcoming barriers in education and self esteem, Naomi has recently been accepted into Wolverhampton University to study Creative Music Performance.

Bobbi Byrne

Project Coordinator and Facilitator

Bobbi Byrne draws on her varied experience with Somerset Youth Offending Team (YOT) to aid in the shaping of the mentoring component of LoveLife6958 programmes. She has BSc Honours degree in Psychology & Sociology, NVQ Level 4 in Learning, Development and Support Services and is currently studying to qualify as a Human Givens Psychotherapist.

Bobbi has also worked in New York and South Africa, exploring leadership and strength work with young people. With a background in women’s basketball Bobbi has run crime prevention & inclusion projects through sport as a Level 2 basketball coach. After growing up in foster care Bobbi learned that if you work hard enough you can defy the odds and achieve your goals.

Romaine McKay

Events Manager and Course Facilitator

25 year old Romaine McKay, former participant on the 'Building Young Entrepreneurs Programme' who then went on to complete his level 1 mentoring course. He is a performing artist part of the collective named 'Swordsman.’ Has passion for both music and mentoring young people, studied Health and Social Care at college and went on to University to study Youth Studies.
